Visit to notable buildings in Guadalajara City
September 27, 2024.
As part of the training of future architects, the School of Architecture of the Universidad Panamericana Aguascalientes campus made a visit to the historic center of the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco to visit famous architectural works.
The visit is carried out to this city because in a route of just two kilometers it is possible to visit works of neoclassical and neo-Gothic styles by great architects such as Adamo Boari and Manuel Tolsá, two of the great luminaries in the history of Mexican architecture.
The third semester students of the Bachelor of Architecture had the opportunity to appreciate in first person the Cabañas Museum by Manuel Tolsá, the Degollado Theater by Jacobo Gálvez, the Guadalajara Cathedral by Martín Casillas and Manuel Gómez Ibarra and the Expiatory Temple by Adamo Boari.
With these visits, students can reaffirm the knowledge acquired in class and experience the architectural spaces in first person, resulting in an intense experiential activity beyond the classroom.
