On the occasion of the reopening of the Campus Library, the School of Architecture was selected to deliver a keynote lecture entitled “Business Models”, presented by Mtro. Luis Arturo Méndez Alba, Dean of the School of Architecture, and Lic. Mario Alberto Montañez Robledo, investment advisor and faculty member of our School.
The lecture addressed various aspects of how to transform ideas into success through the use of key strategies and forward-looking visions.
This theme aligned perfectly with the reopening of the Library, which was motivated by the creation of new spaces within an environment of study, collaboration, and interaction among the different academic programs offered on campus. The new spaces are diverse, including rooms for teamwork, modules with screens for group study, and flexible seating options such as round work tables, individual armchairs, or tiered platforms designed for comfortable reading. Each piece of furniture features a modern and innovative style, with vibrant colors and pleasant textures. Inspirational quotes from distinguished former rectors were inscribed in lettering on the interior walls and glass panels, fostering an atmosphere of study and research.
The event and lecture were attended by Rector Mtro. Antonio de los Reyes, Vice-Rector Dr. Ramiro Velázquez, Head Librarian Mtro. Alejandro Huizar González, and Rector Emeritus D. José Romo, along with students from various programs, including those from the School of Architecture.
