Good practices in Decarbonization facing the Nearshoring trend.
The School of Architecture of Universidad Panamericana campus Bonaterra in Aguascalientes, México in combination with the Urban Land Institute offered this important event as an open forum for specialist and interested people to discuss the main topics regarding good practices in decarbonization.
The day began with a visit to the Continental Factory in Aguascalientes City, a great example of leadership to improve our relation with nature. Continental is a German company, which has around 220 installations in México and 565 worldwide, all of them taking into account environmental issues.
The event continued with a meal offered at Universidad Panamericana, where Ms. Adela Rangel, general director of Akurat gave a presentation about the Urban Land Institute and Jorge López de Obeso, general director of Eosis, interviewed Mrs. Rebeca Ortiz, head of business development at GBCI México, certifiers for LEED regulations (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). Both of them touched very important topics regarding the risk of not taking into account the environmental issues in the design and construction of factories.
After the meal, all the attendants gathered at the IPADE auditorium for a forum regarding rules and legal issues about environmental design for industrial buildings. The forum was hosted by Jorge López de Obeso who conducted a very interest dialogue with José Ramón Barba, general director of Grupo Constructor PEASA, Miguel Angel Huizar Secretary of Public Works of the Aguascalientes State, Edgar Nuñez, specialist in factory design and, Pedro Paredes, managing director of Eosis.
