Panamericana University Aguascalientes and Universidad del Istmo in Guatemala have strengthened their academic alliance through an agreement that enables Architecture students from both institutions to gain international experience and pursue a dual degree.
The agreement was formalized at the Universidad del Istmo campus, with the participation of Dr. Fernanda Llergo Bay, General Rector of Panamericana University; Mr. Antonio de los Reyes Moreno, Rector of Panamericana University Aguascalientes; and Mr. Luis Arturo Méndez Alba, Dean of the School of Architecture Aguascalientes. Together with UNIS authorities, they signed the agreement in the presence of members of the academic community.
“Mexico and Guatemala share a common identity, which is why this agreement responds to the need for better professionals” stated Mr. Antonio de los Reyes Moreno.
Dr. Fernanda Llergo Bay emphasized that “an agreement allows students to understand different ways of thinking, of defining how urbanization and housing will be shaped, always ensuring the dignity of the human person. That is why we are pleased to celebrate this agreement, which will be the first of many with Universidad del Istmo”.
Mr. Luis Arturo Méndez Alba highlighted that “students from Panamericana University will benefit from spending a year at UNIS, especially thanks to the warmth of the Guatemalan people”
This agreement represents a step forward in broadening horizons, strengthening professional training, and connecting our students with new perspectives to better serve society.
