Attendance at the "Crítica de Choque" Conference by Architect Fredy Massad
October 15, 2024
As part of a series of academic activities focused on architectural topics, students from the School of Architecture at Universidad Panamericana, Aguascalientes campus, had the opportunity to attend the exclusive “Crítica de Choque” (“Criticism of Shock”) conference by Architect Fredy Massad.
Held in an auditorium at the Mexico City campus of Universidad Panamericana, Architect Massad, representing our sister institution, the University of Navarra, presented a thought-provoking talk. His discussion centered on the critical analysis of architectural works, using case studies to illustrate common design flaws and emphasizing the importance of avoiding these pitfalls in future projects.
Originally from Argentina and currently based in Barcelona, Architect Massad is a collaborator with the University of Navarra and a contributor to Diario ABC in Spain. His presentation focused primarily on Latin American projects, highlighting instances where a lack of social awareness in architectural design led to significant impacts on local communities.
The session concluded with an engaging Q&A segment, where diverse perspectives were shared, leading to a constructive and stimulating professional debate that enriched the experience for all attendees.
