ARQUITÓPICOS VI

May 7 to 9, 2024 

Every end of the semester the School of Architecture offers the student and academic community a seminar on some topic of relevance in the environment and now it is the turn of Artificial Intelligence in Architecture to be treated in depth taking advantage of the event.

Maksim Zintsov, graduated in Computer Information Systems from Park University in Missouri, U.S.A. offered the inaugural conference and the topic related to ethics in AI. Mr. Zintsov gave a very clear overview of the issue specifically in the professional environment of architecture. Mr. Zintsov had as virtual guests Architect Vishu Bhooshan, a specialist in artificial intelligence from Zaha Hadid Architects in London, England, today the most prestigious and successful company in the field of international architecture, and Architect Matías del Campo, expert on the subject of AI from the University of Michigan and director of SPAN Architecture.

Dr. Brenda Estefanía Díaz Macías, academic secretary of the school and Mtro. Luis Arturo Méndez Alba, dean of the same school, coordinated a workshop on the use and application of artificial intelligence tools for architects in which they explored 22 different resources and asked students to apply them in real cases, obtaining surprising results.

Finally, the event concluded on the third day with a closing cocktail, an exhibition of architectural models and the keynote lecture by Architect José Luis García Ruvalcaba on the topic of the Restoration of Built Heritage and New Technologies.

At the end of the event the School of Architecture had the closing speech by the chancelor of Univesidad Panamericana in Aguascalientes, Mtro. Antonio de los Reyes Moreno.
