October 27–30, 2025.
The School of Architecture of Universidad Panamericana, Campus Aguascalientes, will host Arquitópicos IX from October 27 to 30, 2025, a workshop focused on Urbanism as the central theme.
This edition will feature the participation of Dr. Anna Martyka from Rzeszów University of Technology (RUT), Poland, as the main lecturer. Her visit is part of the Erasmus+ exchange program established between Universidad Panamericana (UP) and RUT, reinforcing international collaboration in architectural and urban studies.
Dr. Anna Martyka is a scholar specializing in the intersection of urban morphology, heritage conservation, spatial structure modeling, and planning tools, with a strong interest in how historic and modern urban forms can be integrated, and how graphic/diagrammatic models can aid territorial policies and interventions.
Arquitópicos IX will engage participants in a comparative workshop exploring the relationship between the urbanism of a European city and the Mexican neighborhood Barrio de la Salud. Throughout the workshop, students will develop placemaking proposals to enhance the urban and social fabric of Barrio de la Salud.
The event will also include the participation of two distinguished academics:
· Dr. Ezequiel Colmenero Acevedo, expert in Urbanism, and
· Dr. Raúl Alberto Dávila, researcher specializing in Barrio de la Salud.
A total of 106 Architecture students will take part, presenting innovative urban proposals that integrate cultural identity, social interaction, and sustainable development.
Through this academic encounter, the School of Architecture reaffirms its commitment to global academic exchange and the transformation of local urban realities through knowledge, creativity, and community engagement.
