ArquiExpo VII

December 6, 2024

As at the end of every semester, the School of Architecture at Universidad Panamericana in Aguascalientes hosted its traditional closing event with a project exhibition.

The event took place at the prestigious Museum of Aguascalientes, designed and built by the renowned architect Refugio Reyes Rivas. During the exhibition, students from all semesters had the opportunity to showcase their progress as apprentice architects through various projects, models, and drawings. The first-semester students presented conceptual buildings derived from 2D graphic designs. Third-semester students exhibited house designs specifically created for university faculty members. Fifth-semester students displayed their commercial center projects, and seventh-semester students unveiled their hotel designs. Each group demonstrated significant development throughout the academic cycle.

Prior to the exhibition, our Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Ramiro Velázquez Guerrero, addressed the audience, discussing the school's emphasis on artificial intelligence and the dual degree programs in collaboration with Pontificia Universidad Católica de Campinas in Brazil and Universidad del Sinú in Colombia.

The Dean of the School of Architecture, Mtro. Luis Arturo Méndez Alba delivered a presentation highlighting all the supplementary activities offered by the school to enhance student education. Particular attention was given to the Luis Barragán Workshop and academic trips to Guadalajara and Mexico City.

The event concluded with a cocktail reception, during which professors evaluated the projects, contributing to the overall success of the event for the students.
