The School of Architecture at Universidad Panamericana Campus Aguascalientes proudly celebrated the second edition of ANTESALA, an academic event specially designed to accompany the students of the second generation as they begin their final year of professional training. In July 2027, these young scholars will complete their university journey and graduate as architects, marking a milestone in both their academic and personal lives.
The ceremony was presided over by distinguished university authorities: Vice-Rector Ramiro Velázquez Guerrero, Dean of the School of Architecture Mtro. Luis Arturo Méndez Alba, and Program Director Mtra. Daniela Aldana Aguilar, who led the event.
Parents and friends of the students were also invited to share on this meaningful occasion. Their presence reinforced the community spirit of the event, highlighting that university education is a collective achievement shared among students, faculty, and loved ones.
Throughout the day, both the Vice-Rector and the Dean delivered inspiring messages to the students, emphasizing the importance of commitment and discipline during this final stage of their studies. Their words encouraged perseverance, enthusiasm, and responsibility, reminding students that consistent effort is the key to professional success.
A highlight of the program was the lecture delivered by Mtro. Óscar Armendáriz Loureiro, titled “Building the Future: Soft Skills for Tomorrow’s Architecture.” The speaker offered valuable insights into the soft skills that complement an architect’s technical training, such as effective communication, leadership, adaptability, and teamwork. Through practical examples and strategic advice, he urged students to strengthen these abilities to achieve a solid and competitive professional positioning in contemporary architecture.
As part of the institutional recognition, students received a certificate of achievement for reaching their fourth year of studies, a symbol of perseverance and dedication. This acknowledgment was accompanied by a call to intensify their efforts during the final year, when they will complete capstone projects and prepare for their formal graduation as architects.
The event concluded with a toast in honor of the students, where authorities, guests, and classmates shared a moment of celebration and fellowship.
The second edition of ANTESALA has thus been consolidated as an academic tradition that recognizes student progress and motivates them to face the last stage of their education with determination. Through this initiative, the School of Architecture reaffirms its commitment to guiding students at every step of their development, preparing a new generation of professionals ready to transform society through design and construction.
